About ME

  I am a mom, a baker, a runner, and a former science teacher. I have six children, ranging in age from 20 - 9, 3 girls and 3 boys, going in sequence girl/boy/girl/boy/girl/boy. It’s never a dull moment in my house! I live a very fun and busy life, and am grateful and blessed to have a wonderful husband and family who support me as I begin my baking business journey.

  For years, I have baked for friends, co-workers and family. I stayed home for 18 years with my kids, homeschooling for a few of those years, but went back to work a couple of years ago. Going back to the classroom was a fantastic experience.  I absolutely loved the kids, and my co-teachers and staff were awesome, but it was not my happy place.  After a stressful day, I would come home and bake, so after 2 years, I decided to bake as a business.  There is nothing better than working in a job that lights your fire, and baking does that for me.  It makes me happy to smell the cookies baking, or to see the bread rising. Then when I see how my baked goods make others happy, that is the best. THAT is what I love - seeing people enjoy what I’ve created. If I can create a small bit of happiness in a muffin, or in a slice of homemade bread, then that is why I am here on this earth.

  I really don’t have a favorite thing to bake, so on my site, you’ll find a little bit of everything. And if you don’t see it, you can definitely request a price quote.  The only thing I don’t bake is cakes, and not because my cakes don’t taste good, but because decorating gives me the heebie jeebies.  I am not an artist by any stretch. I bake with rustic flair, which is to say that my stuff tastes great, but is not perfectly pretty on the outside.
